Since 1978, the State Data Center (SDC) Program has provided training and
technical assistance in accessing and using Census data for research,
administration, planning, and decisionmaking by the government, the business
community, university researchers, and other interested data users. The
Business and Industry Data Center (BIDC) Program, initiated in 1988,
supports the business community by expanding SDC services to government,

The main purpose of the centre is to undertake research on the impacts of
gobal environmental change (climate change, loss of biological diversity and
habitat, trans-national pollution) and to feed the results of this work into

Simplified
access to the Coombspapers Social Sciences Research Data Bank - an anon.ftp
archive. The archive was established to act as an electronic repository of
the social science & humanities papers, bibliographies, directories, theses
abstracts and other high-grade research material produced (or deposited) at

Australian National University, Canberra. In November 1995 Coombspapers

Since 1980, the Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics
has provided an open dialog between its members and the Federal statistical
agencies. Member organizations include professional associations,

DataZone (The Economic Policy Institute)
The
Economic Policy Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank that seeks
to broaden the public debate about strategies to achieve a prosperous and
fair economy. EPI was founded in 1986 by a group of economic policy experts,

Lijphart Elections Archive, housed at the University of California, San
Diego campus, is a research collection of district level election results
for approximately 350 national legislative elections in 26 countries. The
objective of the Archive is to systematically collect election statistics in
as much detail as possible, including, as a minimum, the results at the
level of the individual election districts in which votes are converted into
seats. The Archive originally acquired print copies of the data and is now
focusing on online data. The catalog of holdings details archive holdings of
both print and online data as well as access to data when it can be freely
