| Lust may designate intense
sexual or other desires. It is considered a
vice by many religions.
Some moralists consider lust to be a corruption of
temperance, in the sense that when temperance fails,
lust is the natural result. In
Christian
theology, it is considered one of the
Seven Deadly Sins.
