Who is Saddam  Huseyin

Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti (sometimes spelled Husayn or Hussain) (Arabic: صدام حسين عبدالمجيد التكريتي) (born April 28, 1937) was the President of Iraq from 1979 to 2003. Saddam, born into a poor family in a village near the town of Tikrit, joined the revolutionary Ba'ath Party, which espoused secular Arab nationalism, economic modernization, and socialism, at the age of twenty. He later played a key role in the bloodless Ba'ath Party coup on July 17, 1968. more>>
