Science is the objective testing of phenomena using logic, reasoning and scientific method. It is a process whereby knowledge is suggested, proved and corrected, allowing humans to learn more about natural or technological systems. Following scientific method, many traditional human theories about the environment have been proved to be incorrect.
A key aspect to science is the ability to measure and compare different variables. Every field of science involves some form of measuring and comparing so that conclusions can be drawn. No scientific result can be relied upon to be entirely accurate and many conclusions are drawn simply from human observation and perception. The philosophy of science is a branch of philosophy concerned with the implications and meaning of science and scientific investigation.
