Definition
A place or location is a point or part of space and surface, recorded by comparison to other places and locations. In its broadest astronomical sense, a place can be a galaxy, solar system, star or planet. In a more specific and smaller-scale sense, a place can be a region, continent, country or locality anywhere in the world. Often these are identified by ZIP codes or postal codes.
 

 

Regional Variables
 
  • Arts and Entertainment - All regional areas around the world have their own styles of artistic expression that reflect individual cultures, including various forms of entertainment.
     
  • Business and Economy - A regional area has an economy with strengths in certain industries. Businesses exist in areas to provide various goods and services to consumers and other businesses. Trade and economic interdependence exist within and between different regional areas.
     
  • Government and Politics - Each regional territory has its own government and its own political leaders.
     
  • Health and Welfare - The health and well-being of people and animals vary between regional area based on the environment and the healthcare available.
     
  • Maps and Views - The geographical characteristics and layout of every regional area identifies it physically in the world.
