Simonstown
Simonstown (also spelled Simon's Town) is located at the east side (False Bay side) of the Cape Peninsula near Cape Town, South Africa.
Get in
By car
Follow the road from Cape Town to the Cape of Good Hope along the east side of the peninsula.
By train
There is a regular Metro service to Cape Town, which terminates in Simonstown. Be sure to buy a first-class ticket. It is not very expensive, and while not luxurious, it is far better than the third class tickets. Altough saftey is still an issue, Metrorail (the train company) has done a lot and safety guards are present in most trains all the time. Especially the Simonstown line is considered safe and reliable.
By Air
Well you will have to use the airport at Cape Town to get into the region. You can also go on a trip with Civair from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town along the Cape Peninsula.

Do
Stop in Simonstown and stroll around the harbour and the little shops along the main road. Then have something to eat, before you leave for Boulders, just outside the town (in the south).

- Visit the Cape of Good Hope
- Go to the Cape Winelands and taste wine at a local wine farm.
