AIP is a group of library professionals that works to promote the acquisition
and use of alternative information resources in libraries. AIP is a task force
of the Social Responsibilities Round Table of the American Library Association
and follows the charge of SRRT to "provide a forum for the discussion of the
responsibilities of libraries in relation to the important problems of social
change which face institutions and librarians." Its web site includes a list
of AIP publications, information on the Eubanks Award and AIP's new review
journal, Counterpoise.
