The Smoking Gun "Twice a
week, editors William Bastone and Daniel Green upload facsimiles of primary
doucments they've obtained 'from government and law enforcement sources, via

Smoking Gun has the potential to grow into a tremendously valuable resource.
Its power lies in making visible the invisible by exposing the banal,
bureaucratic, warmed-over cabbage that makes things run. An example of this
'zine at its best came las April when The Smoking Gun published a 1963 FBI
summary of the agency's file on Jackie Robinson. [Tom Dowe, "Web.Politics,"
In These Times, October 19, 1997, p. 25]. |
